So for those of you outside of the southern US you might not relate to this post but those of us born and raised in the South will.
How many of you like smocked clothing or bishops dresses as they are referred to?
I really like the idea of them and always thought I would dress Ella in them daily but once I had her I really have found that I prefer other dresses. There are so many cute clothing lines now that I don't find myself resorting to traditional dresses for her as much. The only exception I will make to that statement are angel sleeved smocked dresses for the spring and summer. I just love the little flutter sleeves. As I started buying some dresses for Ella for the spring and summer I could not help but snag these cute little dresses for her.
All are from Best Dressed Child, which is the best resource I think for smocked dresses. Also, the two on the right are from last season so I got them on sale for half off.
So cute right?! What are your thoughts on smocked dresses?

I love them! I totally rocked these as a little girl. They're cute and not rrestrictive - great kiddo wear!
I am a huge fan of smocked and bishop dresses even though I Am from California where the style for kids is much different.
I LOVE them and will continue to dress my girls in them until they are old enough to transition into more mature clothing styles. I think that many kids clothing lines tend to mimic trendy adult styles too much. They have the rest of their lives to dress like adults. I truly bask in dressing them like southern children in smocked dresses and Kelly's Kids, and it doesn't bother me if others disagree b/c that is what I like. ; )
I adore this style of dress and have a few for V. These are precious!
adorable for a lil girl!!!
I love smocked dresses and peter pan colors! All things classic for my little girl. I am from WA but my fiends believe in a past life I was an east coast preppy kid. My fav sops are Bella Bliss, Olive Juice, and Crewcuts.
