We haven't been up to too much since Christmas. We had a short lived ice storm here on Friday so we were cooped up at home. On Saturday, we decided to talk Ella to do her favorite thing. Play with the legos at Barnes and Noble.
We have an enormous amount of legos at our house but she loves to play with the legos there. More than anything I see her taking apart the structures other children have built and putting the blocks back in the buckets. I think I rubbed off on her.
After that we went to Marks, which is an excellent burger place in downtown Greenville, SC.
Their parmesan truffle fries are literally to die for. I'm ashamed of how many I ate.
Ella enjoyed their fries too.
Check out that hair. We are in a hair impasse right now. She refuses to wear a bow. She says, "No bow Mama. No bow!" We have gotten her distracted enough to get a couple of hair clips into her hair but it doesn't last long.
a cake pop can provide a distraction for a few minutes.
Something has got to be done at this point. I'm currently trying some of my hair products to at least see if I can get it to lay down. I refuse to cut bangs and beyond that I do not know what to do with her hair. Any tips or tricks?
On another topic I have found a children's book I just love.
It's just precious. Ella loves dogs so I thought this was so cute to add to her bookshelf. It's about two dogs that love each other although one is a front porch kind of dog and one is a back porch kid of dog. I might be giving this one as a gift some this year.

I hear you on the bow situation. We do a small clear to get her bangs out of her face. She doesn't mind it and doesn't pull it out. I quit bows for months and I'm just now able to put them back in.
