Since this latest tragedy, I have found myself thinking thoughts about homeschooling Ella or never going into a mall again. Even with my knowledge about crime and how low of a chance any of us have of being the victim of a random violent crime, I still find myself thinking those thoughts. My husband agreed but said, you can't be a prisoner of your home. Very true which led me to the serenity prayer.
It just makes me feel better.

I think most parents have had the same thoughts! The Serenity Prayer is definitely a good reminder right now
I think that one of the things that was so awful about Friday's horrific event is that it was totally unexpected. I feel like the last bit of our country's innocence was destroyed on Friday.
