This picture has nothing to do with this post but lovely none the less. From Lonny's November issue.
Now onto the point. I have been consciously trying to replug into the blog community. I've been absent for a while on your blogs and as I visit your blogs, I recognize how everyone has left me behind in regard to moodboards and graphics. I am a little embarrassed at my font library at this point.
So that has brought me to this realization.... I have to learn Photoshop. Le sigh.
It makes me tired just thinking about it. Also I've heard Illustrator is another option. I need advice. Photoshop or Illustrator? Is one easier than the other? I already own Photoshop but is Illustrator worth the purchase. Any good resources to learn the programs?
Seriously, I am already frustrated and I haven't even started yet.

I have both and find myself using photoshop 99.9% of the time. Illustrator is perfect for some things but if all your needs are blog related photoshop can do it and it's much easier to learn in my opinion. I'm self taught and figured out how to do what I wanted to do in photoshop by googling my way through. Illustrator is much more elusive! Good luck!
I love Photoshop. A really good resource is Linda.com You can find good courses on just about any programs there. Good luck.
I use both a lot but unless you are doing graphic design or illustration, you wont use Illustrator much.
Photoshop and Illustrator are nothing alike by the way so I wouldn't even evaluate them in the same breathe.
