We had a great Thanksgiving and a lovely break. I have to say I needed some time outside of my daily routine and we had a blast.
This is E telling everyone Happy Thanksgiving! This was made for my Dad who was celebrating in Charleston.
Outfit is from Tea Collection. Shoes from See Kai Run and the bow....wait there is no bow because she refuses to wear one! Anyone else had this problem?
I cooked a lot on Wednesday. I made this awesome Sweet Potato Pie that was just divine.
It's Paula Deen's recipe and the only change I made was to leave out the meringue (not a fan) and added homemade whipped cream instead.
Then I made stuffing/dressing for the first time. I made Ree Drummond's/ The Pioneer Woman's recipe. I wasn't a huge fan mainly because I don't like stuffing but my husband requested it and he liked it. I did like this bread that I bought to use in the dressing. It made my whole house smell like rosemary!
E helped crush up the graham crackers for my caramel apple dip. See still no bow.
Thursday we gathered with my family at my aunt's home. My sweet aunt always hosts us for each holiday. She's just the best! These are E and her girl cousins after we ate. Ace is the only boy and he was out running around I'm sure.
Here is the second one, once Ace joined them. They are so precious and I love these pictures.
Aren't they precious. Ace is a big Clemson fan so he was wearing his tiger tail. My cousin Casey's girls are always so stylish and precious. I believe their outfits are from Kelly's Kids (maybe? I'm pretty sure.) and look at those precious Morgan and Milo shoes?! I always tell Ella, look they are wearing bows but she doesn't care.
Black Friday I shopped and shopped and shopped. Of course. I did get some good deals at Gymboree and the Gap for casual clothes for E. I picked up my husband some stuff at Kiehl's for his stocking. I also got a precious pair of black flats for myself along with a great dress for work from Banana Republic at 40% off.
Saturday was all about decorating the tree, football and finishing up some wrapping. I am proud to say that I am almost completely finished with Christmas. I have to get my Dad's, my husband's and finish up E's stocking and I am done! Getting started in the fall really has paid off. It's so nice to have almost everything finished.
Thanks for reading about my precious family and the somewhat mundane events of my weekend. It's back to work today (le sigh.) but it was a great holiday. Hope yours was excellent as well.

Beautiful pictures! M refuses to wear a bow too....she just rips that sucker right out! However, I have found that I can put a small pony tail holder in to keep her bangs out of her eyes and she will leave that alone. Glad you had a nice holiday!
Such cute pics!! Can't believe you got 5 kids to sit still and look cute for a picture!! Want to take my Christmas card picture or at least give me some hints!!
It literally took about 60 pictures to get these. Ella was fine because we sang to her. That's way she's so happy. Ace (the little boy) was not as cooperative I just happened to get a few good shots.
