I absolutely love children's books. I usually buy E a book a week.
When I was pregnant, I actually woke up one morning panicked that E didn't have The Very Hungry Caterpillar. True story.
These are some of my favorites to start a baby's library. These are some of our favorites...
I learned about this book from my friend Johanna and its now one of our favorites. The words are so beautiful I find myself reading it from memory. Beautiful book.
This is on everyone's list I think and it is beautiful because it's open to so many interpretations. To me Max's story is about his mother's unconditional love and adventurous spirit.
Runaway Bunny. I love this precious book about motherly love.
Green Eggs and Ham. This is one of the first books I read to E. She found it funny even at 6 months old. You don't get much better than Sam I Am.
Pat The Bunny. As old as this book is with its simple illustrations, this is one of E's favorite. She loves the bunny.
Knuffle Bunny is one of my favorite books. E will not appreciate it until she's older but I find this story so sweet and simple.
Corduroy was my favorite book as a child. This is an older story as well but I think this story is just precious about accepting things with flaws.
Guess How Much I Love You is a sweet book to share with your baby.
Finally, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. All babies need it.
What are your favorites? I need to add some to my list.
